Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
This construction first began with the geometer’s tools; compass, straightedge and pencil. Drawn first in pencil and painted in detail using watercolor paints on watercolor paper. The construction was based upon instructions outlined by the renowned American physicist Dr. Patrick Flanagan who calls the Sri Yantra the 'king of power symbols' and describes its energetic effect as seventy times greater than that of a pyramid construction. There are many versions of the Sri Yantra which is a Sacred Geometry that originated in India and consists of 9 interlocked triangles.
Judy Chapman received her BA in Art Education from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado, in 1979 and has 10 years’ experience teaching high school art in Wyoming and now resides in Yelm, Washington. For the past 10 years, her passion has been drawing sacred geometry patterns and creating sacred geometry constructions using the basic tools of the geometer; the compass, pencil and straightedge. With a background in art, it seemed only natural to combine this new form of study, sacred geometry, with an artistic expression. She began by adding color using her favorite colored pencils and eventually explored more creative ideas in watercolor, artist markers and/or using 3D embellishments. Each artwork begins with a...
