Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
This piece contains a Shri Yantra (also "sri" or "shree"). The Shri Yantra is a "sacred geometry" that originated in India and is composed of 9 interlocked triangles. To be drawn correctly, it must include concurrency, centricity, and equalaterity and is widely considered to be very difficult to draw without errors at the intersections. There a many variations of the Shri Yantra and there are 3 main forms: Plane, pyramidal, spherical. This image combines 2 styles (plane spherical (also called "Kurma")). The Kurma is considered the most difficult to draw correctly since it contains curved lines. Around the Shri Yantra, there are 2 rows of lotus flower petals representing chakras and 3 circles for the past, present, and future existing together. In the center there is a silhouette of man in a traditional lotus position with 6 orbs of light in the colors of 6 of the 7 chakra colors found in many Western adaptations of Hindu Yogic chakras (all but "Ajna" (the 3rd eye chakra) which a...
